Malshej Ghat is a mountain pass in the Western Ghats range in the Thane-Ahamad Nagar Road of Maharashtra, India.A beautiful hill station with its numerous lakes, waterfalls and mountains, Malshej Ghat is popular among hikers, trekkers and nature lovers.This place is especially beautiful during monsoons and is one of the favourite weekend getaways for youngsters from Mumbai, Pune and Thane.
Experience
This is an amazing place in monsoon.Its covered in clouds and has a lot of waterfalls. It was an awesome experience with my 4 friends, a perfect bike ride.We Started our journey at 5:30 AM from Ghansoli. There was a heavy rain , After 1 hour rides towards Malshej ghat we halt at dhaba for tea and breakfast.
Due to heavy rain, we got completely wet and we started to feel little cold, but it was time to enjoy.
There was a lot of fog we hardly able to see in front, We followed road indicator and move ahead n ahead. It is just another fascinating thing where in which you can ride on a straight empty road for a long time.The waterfalls on the way are amazing.
You will enjoy the beauty of this place. we enjoyed it a lot and according to me a must-visit place if you are looking for some fun and adventure trip.

There are other private resorts where you can spend a day or two.
A nice accommodation is available there at MTDC.
Food
I would strongly recommend carrying my own food and beverages. Accommodation nearby is very limited or eat at the dhabbas alongside
national highway on your way to the ghat.
Time To Visit
The monsoon months of August and September are a good time to visit Malshej Ghat, with green hills and exotic flamingos visit this area during monsoon months.
