Sikkim, the state of green mountains in the North-Eastern part of the country has become synonymous with names like Tsango Lake, Nathula Pass, Baba Mandir and the capital city of Gangtok. 1. Siddheshwara Dham
It is situated at Solophok hill which is 5 km away from Namchi town. It is believed that a visit to the place is enough to wash away one’s sins. The 108 feet statue of Lord Shiva is encircled and supported by a girdle of twelve Jyotirlingams Chardam, which is situated in India in four different places like East Jagannath, West as Dwarika, South as Rameshawaram, North as Badrinath Dham, where especially Hindus consider the main pilgrimage.
2. Mankhim
In Mankhim, The Lampokhari Lake is without a doubt the greatest tourist attraction in the region. The novelty element of this lake is its shape, which resembles a human foot. Flanked by an equally lush green forest consisting of Pine and Fir trees, the lake is perfect for a laid back paddle boating sessions across its serene waters.
3. Parbateyswar Shivalaya Mandir
One of the prominent sacred Hindu Mandir in a whole region, Parbateyswar Shivalaya Mandir is surrounded by ardent Lord shiva devotees. Something is there is about this place that cannot be well described in mere words, the sanctity filled in the air is merely fathomless.
4. Nirmal Dham
Nirmal Dham serves as another major attraction of the region which is an abode of Nirmal Guruji, also known as Kopchey Baba. It is situated about 5 kms from Rhenock Bazar with a couple of waterfalls lying in the proximity including Lonely Falls (Kali Khola falls) and Changey Waterfalls. Love Dara is a low hill picnic spot in Aritar. Ever green nursery and Ram Gauri Sangrahalaya can also be visited to enjoy large varieties of flowers and other botanical collections.
5. Hanuman Tok
Hanuman Tok or Hanuman Temple is also one of the prominent temples located in the capital city of Sikkim. The tranquility and serenity around the temple are so mesmerizing that it will attract you to spend some time here. There is one more Hanuman Temple in the city which is built by the Indian Army. The scenic beauty surrounding the Hanuman Tok Temple is mesmerizing for the visitors.
6. Enchey Monastery
Enchey Monastery i.e ‘the solitary temple’, this sacred Buddhist pilgrim is the mystical wonderland surrounded with splendid natural beauty. The tall pine trees, the exhilarating whiff of flower-bedecked meadows and the scenic view of the Kanchenjunga Hills infuse the devotees with the feeling of being amidst a serene and blessed environment.
7. Kirateshwar Mahadev Mandir
Kirateshwar Mahadev Mandir is an old temple dedicated to the Lord Kirateshwar, an incarnation of Lord Shiva in the form of the hunter. This is a prominent pilgrimage destination for the devotees of Lord Shiva in the Hindu Religion.
8. Solophok Chardham
This religious place is located in the South Sikkim on the top of the Solophok hill in the enchanting scenic surroundings. The Chardham temple landscape is spread over the area of 7 acres and the main temple is having the height of 108 feet. The Lord Shiva idol of the height of 87 feet situated in the meditating position at the top of the main temple offers you the grand view of the mighty Lord of Death.
9. Shri Vishwa Vinayaka Mandir
A serenely Ganesh Temple located in quite place. A must visit as it has beautiful idols of Hanuman and Ganesh. A typical Tibetan style idol with 10 hands and the place is quite clean and has a calming effect.
