1. Elephant Falls<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The dense forests of the evergreen Meghalaya spread all around the state. Meghalaya is also known for its amazing waterfalls. Elephant Falls is the highlight of Meghalaya. It has an elephant-like stone at its foot and hence obtained the name Elephant falls. 8. Krem Liat Prah<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Prah (Krem<\/em> is the Khasi word for “cave”) is one of approximately 150 known caves in the Shnongrim Ridge of the East Jaintia Hills district in the state of Meghalaya, northeast India. Explored and surveyed as part of the ongoing Abode of the Clouds Expedition project, its current length of about 34 kilometers will likely be increased as nearby caves continue to be connected. Liat Prah’s dominant feature is its enormous trunk passage, the Aircraft Hangar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
9. Nohkalikai Waterfalls<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

11. Seven Sisters Falls <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Seven Sister is a popular waterfall located on the Gangtok- Lachung Highway, around 32 kilometres away from Gangtok. As the name suggests, the seven different waterfalls harmoniously arranged sideways on a wide rugged cliff seem distinct if watched from a distance. It becomes a must see place in Gangtok after rains, when the falls come into a fierce life offering an awe-inspiring view. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
