It is accepted that the tongue of goddess Sati fell on a similar spot where the sanctuary stands. The Hanuman sculpture introduced here is a significant milestone of the slope town. The sanctuary is arranged on the Jakhoo mountain and rumors from far and wide suggest that this is the place where Master Hanuman halted on his central goal of gathering Sanjeevni booti for Laxmana.
