Talking about its geographical location it is in northwest of India, sharing boarder which Pakistan.

CITY PALACE:

City palace located in Jaipur a palace that houses the two other famous mahals Chandra Mahal & Mubarak Mahal.

Then king of Amer, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II started the construction of Chandra Mahal .

The entry gates of the palace are Virendra Pol , Tripolia Pol & Udai Pol.

The best time to visit the place is in the month of march & September.

 FORT & PALACE OF AMER:

Fort located 11km at the distance of capital city Jaipur is the most common attraction of tourist for it’s outstanding contribution in artistic work .

As the ,material used in it’s making is marbel & sandstone.

The fort is located on the high hills immediately above the hill called cheel ka teela , so named as hill of eagles in the aravali range.

Making of the fort was started by raja Sawai Jai Singh who made Maota Lake as the source of water in the palace.

Now the place has been controlled by the government of India.

JAIGARH FORT:

Jaigarh fort along with the Amer fort is also located in the cheel ka teela[ hills of eagle] in the aravali mountain range. So, the plae overlook the maota lake as well.

This one was named after the king who contributed in it’s construction Maharaja Jai Singh II.

As it is Jaigarh fort the mentioned in it’s part of  name “jai=victory”, hence called a Victory Fort as well.

HAWA MAHAL:

As clear from it’s name itself Hawa[wind] Mahal[palace], so it is also known as the” wind palace”  .

It is located in Jaipur.

Materials used in making are pink & red sandstone.

 Built by Mharaja Swai Pratap Singh. The structure of the mahal was designed by Lal Chand Uastad.

It has windows with tiny little designer opening named “ Jharokhas” from which the person standing inside can see the outer world but vice versa is not possible.

 The structure of the mahal is so that it keeps the ventilation of the air going which ultimately keeps the mahal cool no matter how hot the outside atmosphere is.

The monument is very unique in itself.

 JANTAR MANTAR:

Jantar mantar being the world heritage site of UNESCO , represents the love of the king towards science & interest in movements of heavenly bodies in universe.

Construction was taken place in 18th century by then king of Jaipur Maharaja Jai Singh II who in total construct five Jantar Mantars in Jaipur , mathura, Varanasi, Ujjain & in new delhi.

But the largest one is in Jaipur itself.

As the king was very much keen to science & in universe so, the rudimentary purpose behind the construction of jantar mantar was to catch the movements of celestial bodies like sun , moon , planets & stars.

The tools[yantra] built there for different purposes was able to do the most difficult astronomical calculations .

Some of the tools[yantra] used are-

  • Jai Prakash Yantra
  • Disha Yantra
  • Rama Yantra
  • Samrat yantra …..etc.

 JAL MAHAL:

A unique palace situated in middle of water body.

It is in middle of Jaipur & Amer.

Known for it’s uniqueness & beauty.so do not forget to make some out while visit time in the beautiful state Rajasthan to take the glimpse of Jal Mahal as well.
