MY TRIP TO -DEVBHUMI, UTTARAKHAND.

In UTTARAKHAND, there is an amalgamation of many heritages, cultures, rituals, languages, & the diversity in life habits as per the environment of living.

To prove aforesaid let me take you to the experience of paradise on earth other than Kashmir, i.e. Uttarakhand.

Uttarakhand knew from many other names which add more value to its specialty & culture.

Like Devbhumi [dev-god;bhumi-land]

“The land of gods” as the presence of many pilgrimage sites [char dham]  which possess a lot more importance in Hinduism.

  • Tungnath
  • Rudranath
  • Kalpeshwar
  • Madhyamaheshwar…..etc.

Uttarakhand i.e Uttaranchal is not only famous for it’s religious sites but also you can witness the creativity of nature & it’s adorability at the same time.

THE MUST PLACES TO VISIT THERE:

There is no limit of places to visit in the amazing state of Uttarakhand & trust me it will never ever be possible to select a few. as it’s the markable place where god’s idea of beautiful earth originated.

But to beat the clock here are some must visit during the trip to Uttarakhand :

GANGOTRI:

A town situated in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand.

Gangotri is known as the originating point of the Goddess , Curable and sacred river GANGA.

it is one among the important pilgrimage site in Hindu mythology.

Places visit in Gangotri:

  • 1ST is Gangotri temple itself
  • Bhaghirath Shila
  • Pandava Gufa…etc.

Tungnath, Mahadev :

Temple dedicated to lord shiva is situated at the peak of the mountain highest among five Panch Kedar at the division of Akakhnanda river of Badrinath and Mandakini river of kedarnath.

Located approximately 2km below from the Chandrashila Peak, chopta is the shortest distance base to start trekking for “Tungnath Mahadev”.

DEVPRAYAG:

Is a sacred place where two important river  ALAKHNANDA and BHAGHIRATHI share their meeting point and continue to flow as one stream further called GANGA.

The confluence of both the rivers  naturally create a soothing view any human ever get to witness.

NAINITAL:

Nainital, the city of lakes.

It stands and well known for the outstanding beauty. A the must visit in the state tour.

Nainital is known for it’s lakes that is why it is also known as the lake city of Uttarakhand and for it’s temples as well.

It is located in the kumaon foothills which is the part of the outer Himalayas.

You can easily take The magnificent glimpse of Himalayas as well by reaching to the top.

And trust me the view of the Himalayas especially during snowfall from their is really to die for.

When sun light reach there It just look like beautiful silver lining over the mountains and the clouds make the look so, adorable and worth watching.

  • Nainadevi temple.
  • Hanuman Garhi.
  • Nainijheel also called Nainital lake.
  • Mall Road.
  • Tiffin Top.
  • Naini Peak.
  • Cave Garden.
  • Kainchi Dham , Neem Karoli Baba Ashram.
  • Kumon Hills.
  • Sattal Lake.
  • Bhimtal Lake.
  • Naukuchiyatal Lake.
  • And the must Snow view from the top during Winters…..etc.

Here you will also get beautifully carved candels which is again the other specialty of nainital.

Nainital  is at the distance of 285km (approx.) from Dehradun and 345(approx. ) from Delhi. So, you can drive yourself or can take the bus, or train to Kathgodam railway station.    

DEHRANDUN:

Capital city of Uttarakhand during winters.

The city located in the doon valley of Himalayas .

It is also stands as a connecting link of many other beautiful destinations like Mussorie , Uttarkashi,

Tungnath Mahadev in chopta, Auli etc.

 Apart from the eye-catching beauty it is also famous for basmati rice and for bakery products as well.

It is also the perfect place for the research work as the presence of Forest Research Institute and many more administrative bodies are deployed here like-

  • Uttarakhand Ayurveda University.

city is Located at the distance of 248km(approx..) from Delhi.

MUSSOORI:

Located approximately 34km from the capital city of Uttarakhand i.e. Dehradun , in Garhwal hills.

Mussoori  is the place where apart from ooty and Darjeeling most awesome , beautiful hills are located that is it’s nick name is “ Queen of Hills” .

It become more adorable in the night light. When you can see the whole city immersed in light that view from the top part of mussoori is really love.

 Haridwar plays a significant role as a Hindus pilgrimage site where their visit is influenced by the thought thy after taking a dip in Ganges  they will get purified and may be free from all their sins.

Even it is also believed by Hindus that during the process of Amrit Manthan there was a shower of few drops of Amrit which reach the places like Ujjain , Prayagraj ,  Nasik along with the Haridwar itself.

This place is also important in respect to the goddess river Ganga, as ganga originated from Himalayas also go through Rishikesh.
